Full-Day and Half-Day preschool programs

Our preschool program runs Monday through Thursday and offers both full-day and half-day options. Before registering at Sunflower Preschool, a tour is required. Please email us at eburgsunflower@gmail.com or call  509-312-0089.​

Full-Day Preschool

Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Monthly Tuition: $945

 

Half-Day Preschool

Morning Session: 8:00 AM – 11:30 AM

Afternoon Session: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM

Monthly Tuition: $525

With a mixed-age setting of 3- to 5-year-olds, our curriculum features exciting themes that foster learning and growth, guided by our dedicated team led by Katrina Douglas and Jaiden Noel. Along with our wonderful volunteers, Miss Sharon, Miss DeLain, Miss Gisele, Miss Hanna, and Miss Molly.

Our curriculum combines Pocket of Preschool and Pre-K Pages, engaging students with weekly themes across science, math, literacy, and more. Through the Zoo Phonics approach, children master letter sounds in a fun way, while nursery rhymes enhance their phonemic awareness and comprehension. Most importantly, we prioritize social and emotional growth, fostering essential communication skills and problem-solving abilities in a supportive environment.

 

​At Sunflower, we believe that preparing students for kindergarten is crucial for their success. We emphasize key skills such as writing names, recognizing letters and their sounds, counting, and developing social/emotional intelligence. Our approach also fosters problem-solving abilities, ensuring that children are well-equipped for their educational journey ahead. Together, we lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning and growth.

  • Welcome

  • Table Activities

  • Bathroom/Handwashing

  • Group Learning: Social/emotional learning (red/green choices, problem-solving skills, feelings, and self-regulation), Zoo Phonics, fine motor journals, nursery rhymes

  • Morning Meeting: Movement, songs, circle time games

  • Break-out sessions: 3-5-year-olds / 4-5-year-olds​ (Pre-K activities); fine motor development, counting, letter of the week

  • Free Choice Centers: STEM, imagination, dramatic play, sensory bins, kitchen, and rotating activities

  • Snack: Students bring their own snacks and water bottle

  • Recess: Enjoy the great outdoors in the preschool backyard

  • Exploration Stations: Based on our theme for the week (All About Building, Simple Machines, Weather, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Bees & Butterflies, Spring Gardening, and more)

  • Story Time

  • Books / Puzzles: Students enjoy a quiet activity before leaving

  • Adios: See you tomorrow!

  • Lunch: Full-Day students (pack lunch for child)

  • Mindfulness Time (full-day students)

  • Afternoon Class Arrives 

  • Additional Activities: Ellensburg public library, nature walk, family activities, pumpkin patch​
